What's up yall? I just wanna start off by thanking everyone for reviewing my beat last time...Anyways, I'm now four beats deep, and with each beat, I see a dramatic improvement! This beat right here makes me so proud! Anyways, the drums were sampled from Jackson Five's "Ain't No Sunshine", but the rest is me! I just rearranged the drums, added a basline, and tossed some keys on there, it's real nice! Anyways, give any advice/ feedback and I will return the favor, just drop links! BTW, this bass is ill!

Relax-It's too relaxin for me. Nice bassline and melodies, but you got to add another soft synth to background of the song. Sounded very dry to me. Drums are cool sound a little muffled during the multiple kick parts. Reminds me of a nice start of one of those Usher tracks. Grab some of his stuff or anthony hamilton and listen to the production. You got the idea but just missin a few things.

Yeah, I get my samples tommorow, so I'll start adding some synths and stuff to it...I was trying to make the drum pattern sound realistic, but it didn't quite work out, I'll go back to that....

Hey yo, thanks, I was gonna work on that...I didn't really mess with an EQS or compression on this one, cuz it was sampled, and I was trying to capture the lodskool Motowen type feel...I'm definitely gonna fix the drums later on, then I'll mix it better and add new samples once my cd gets here...I can't wait till it comes! I'm thinking about added a jazzy sax to this one, what yall think?

this has a nice low-key vibe to it...I agree that those drum samples would be cool as the intro, but after that a beat should drop with much stronger drums...I can see the vibe you were going for..but the drums aren't consistent in the mix later because your hi-hat is much clearer and more resonant than the drums which sound muddy in the mix later....A few soulful Wurlitzer riffs would add a whole new vibe to this, and I def think this could use some rhodes chords in keeping with a retro type of vibe...The bassline is cool but it gets a little repetitive after awhile...some variation would be cool....A niiice piano solo would kill it too...drop me some feedback at the thread:

Hey yo, thanks, that was a great post! I'll check your thread out right now...The beat's not finished yet, but I like where it's going, and I got some thoughts in my head, just don't gt the sounds, trust, none of my beats will sound the same when my sounds come! I'm gonna fill them b*tches up! I fell you on the bassline and the piano solo, but I don't know where the hell I'm supposed to find a Wurlitzer synth. I might think about tossing in some light rhodes with a little reverb on it, and I'll definitely drop a harder beat in there!

put reverb on the drums. the hi-hat sounds out of place like it should be a 1/16 pattern and softer.
