Nugen and Archer present their newest title "groK opera", a track especially designed for the launching of the label’s vinyl singles (3 releases scheduled by end 2005), a tech-house track with a powerful and devastating kick, backed up by a hypnotic and charming acid rock lead making it huge, happy floorfiller. The b1 remix by another Buena Onda artist, Eyeone gives the track a crunchier touch, well revealing what to expect from Eyeone's single "Shake the planet", in store Nov. 2005

I take it you are the label-er... or Nugen - Archer?

Smooth dance-floor material here... reminds me a little too much of disco at times, but hey, it's still a fun track. Excellent high-fidelity, acid lines are kinda funky. Too bad only about a minute long.

I'm half tempted to ask this thread to be deleted.....spamming the forum as a label promoter (1st post is a promo) is kind of bad form, IMHO. I understand it's your job to create buzz about your label/roster, but feigning interest/participation in our forums just to get clicks is pretty lame in my book. Maybe if you'd spent time listening/reviewing more of the other member's work before posting this thread, I'd be more open to reviewing your work.

Having said that, I did listen to the Grok Opera sample, and have to say I'm unimpressed. The work is obviously competent, but it's not incredibly dynamic, either. The filter sweeps are kind of academic, as is the arrangement. Again, there's obvious talent and competency with the tools, just not a great sense of artistry just yet.

I look forward to more of your work and your participation in the FP community.

    Good morning Film Guy,
First of all I apologize for having infringed the functioning of the forum, it was no way my intention !!
Since I have just recently subscribed to this web site and having noticed that it is permitted speaking about music, I could not know about the rules that seem somehow arbitrary to me. MY AIM IS NOT TO SELL THE TRACKS THAT I PRODUCE, but merely to get people to hear the sound of the artists of our label. It is a matter of passion; I am not doing this for a living.
In any case, thanks for your review even if tinged with significant irritation.
Regarding the other productions, if you finally want to hear them, I shall comply with the rules of the forum.
    Sorry again for the disturbance.
