You didn't specify a particular beat so I'ma just rate the first joint that catchest my ear Jan. 04 Project 7. Drum line and sound effects are top notch as it gets. That high pitch bell sounds hot. All that extra music / sample arent really necessary feels like they go in a different direction from the mainframe of the track. Nice change-ups, definately a rockable joint. 3.5 Starz out of 5.

    Return the favor.

thanks for the much needed feedback. now as for the extra sounds and samples that u said werent needed, are you talking about the synth before the hook and the 'hani nani' vocals ? I think the hani nani vocals blend well with the song, especially if a female vocalist were to sing something over it.

I listened to your 'explain yoself' beat, so i will give you a rating in return of what you gave me. The layout and positioning of the instruments in the song are fine, it's just the instruments themselves im concerned about. I really suggest you use the Waves VST plugins (www.waves.com) - Try using RBass to up the frequency on the kick (about 52Khz), use S-Imager to place the instruments (strings, guitars, synths, etc) in different parts of the stereo field. Im loving the snare however. I say get some more sound samples and think about what really works with the beat... however, it could just be the sound quality of the MP3 itself. I give it a 3, but with more tweaking, you could definately get a higher rating. keep it up ;-)
