I've been working on an EP pretty hard now and I need some quality feedback on this track inparticular. There's no intro or outro yet and the transitions are weak, but more on a mixing/sound design level. It's a private track because I dont want people I know hearing it, so I'm not looking for plays, even one awesome comment will work for me. I would love to shoot some feedback back, I do love critically listening, especially if you give me some noteworthy tips :-) Thanks a lot!

This is crazy awesome! Your use of glitchy modulation, your use of the stereo spectrum, the interesting sounding synths and the brilliant vocal-glitch breakdown!

Thanks a lot! Is there anything that stands out that shouldn't to you, or any problems you have with it? From someone who likes it it would mean a lot if you could tear something apart :-)

1- The high ends are dominating in this production. You need some EQing on that to cut the unnecessary frequencies off.
2- Way too cranked up! You need to control the volumes of each track individually, then limit the master output to avoid this jumble.
3- Part of the previous jumble mentioned is that there are few frequencies fighting eachother for the front view of the beat. Isolate the frequencies. I am not sure how familiar you are with EQing but it needs a bit work to make this production flow better.
4- I really cannot tell what kind of vocals (genre) would fit with this. So, just curious, what's your vision for this? because I can see the vocals getting lost into the mix since you have too much highs in it.
5- Overall, I think it's a good start to something very unique; to whatever you are trying to achieve. I have never head anything like this before. Again, I am not really sure how you will utilize this. Will be interested in hearing the final version!

Yes I apologize my response was not very detailed, I was just really impressed! But in all honesty I don't really think the mix is too muddy(the overlapping frequencies jawad is talking about) except for maybe a few of your high frequency synths/sounds. I mean, obviously the transition at 0:57 but you mentioned that yourself. I really think you got something here...

That's a great point about the fighting frequencies, for now I'm working on headphones so its a bit hard to tell all the time where everything is placed. I'll working on balancing everything out better for sure. I have limited the master and have been very careful about my levels so I'm not sure if it's because there's so many layers it seems loud or what but its something i will take into consideration once I get to use some monitors. As for my vision of the track, it works with the rest of the EP I'm working on. I've been doing a lot of vocal modulation with a lot of different techniques but as for a genre, I don't really know, it kinda just comes out like that haha. Tipper is a HUGEEEEE influence on my music, especially his album Broken Soul Jamboree. I take it as a compliment you not hearing anything like it, but thanks for all the words! I'll hit you back with some feedback right now!

Well it means a lot :-) I do agree some of it is overwhelming, but I almost like the clutter if I just make it a little cleaner :-)

That was awesome! I think you hit every note and every synth movement at the right time. As per previous comments there is a lot on the higher frequencies. Seem likes they need to be toned down a little. Also I'd suggest trying a textured pad around the mid area to balance the track out. Drums are spot on btw!

Thanks a lot, I will be mixing these a lot more in the next week when I get into my schools studio so I hope that I will be able to fix all the EQ issues. As for the pad, I had one in before but really liked the change from clutter to bareness with the occasional ambient chords fluttering in, but I respect the thought, i'll mess around with it a bit more!

I don't really listen to stuff like this, so take anything i say with a grain of salt. The part at 1:01-1:32 was kinda odd to me lol, but everything before that reminded me of Dimlite, who might fit into the niche of music you make... in plain terms, that section was nice & genius to me, i really enjoyed it.

I'd appreciate if u could vote for me guys, plz & thx. Adrian in KARMALOOP.com: WIN $1,000

I can't say too much since I'm still new to producing, but I like that scratching sound and how you can combine so many sounds together and have it still work pretty well!
