DJ Shadow type Hip Hop Beat (F4F)

My new beat, the vocal sample is inspired by something DJ Shadow would use. Hit me with what you got

nice beat - the piano sample is really cool and the violins sound great too - were they part of the same sample? Only negative I have is that there's no bassline - I can hear a nice soulful, live sounding bass working well on it. If you can't use a bass then maybe have more beef in the kick. That being said, the drums sound great and have a nice snap to them.

This is well done! The drums are really crisp and that piano is sample is really nice. I also concur with the addition of some more low end as well whether it be from an 808, synth or electric bass. The drums also have a really nice swing to them, and the mix is good as well.

First thing I noticed is where's the bassline, if you had a few bass stabs here and there it would be job done, the vocal sample is nice, I feel like if you added some reverb it would sit in the mix a lot better. Drums sound good to me, good change up the pattern a little bit and the use of a few obligatory open hi hats and cymbals would be welcomed. In general though quite nice and yeah sounds like some dj shadow work. Also if you sampled the violin separate to the piano good job because I'm 100 percent certain you didn't so thats damn smooth.

This is dope man! Simple yet effective. Vocal sample is perfect for the beat. I would have liked to hear that kick switched up a little more. A 'double kick' at the start of some bars, maybe an extra couple at the end of some bars. Loving the positive vibes on this track and the mix sounds clean as hell to me. Keep it up.
