I like the beat! The vocals need some effects (they sound really bassy and muffled through my reference Headphones) but if that is what you are going for than go for it! It is better to do what you want to do than to allow others to choose for you!

How does this exactly work?
Though I know you wrote the lyrics and recorded the track does the artist express the words the way you envision them?
Would you have said your lyrics the same way he did on this track?
I felt like he just recited what he read on paper and nothing more. Hardly felt "life" in his delivery (which is pretty big deal when it comes painting a picture for the listener). Lyrics and beat were pretty good but just felt like the artist has to work on his delivery more.

Like the beat but just like the others said the vocals need to be mixed a little better. It reminds me of some currensy could be a pretty good song if the vocals sounded more expressed!
