Trap Beat (Was being used by BSM) F4F

Lets get some feedback for this beat. I always give honest specific feedback in return.
 
Yo the beat is overall pretty banging but could use a lead melody. The bass drum is bumping but I can barely hear the bassline. How do you do that record stop and start trick? It sounds pretty easy but Im just not sure how you do it. Sorry the track didnt get to utilized by one of the most popular up and coming rap crews man.
 
Really nice track man. That bassline is clean and banging. I really liked the mix as well. Only thing I would suggest is you might consider adding some additional snare work like you did briefly at :32. Or maybe just some extra snares at the end of some of the bars. I think that would really set it off.
