Very odd selection of instruments and a very odd melody. While there's nothing technically "wrong" with this track, it doesn't feel cohesive or really make sense. Gets a little repetitive.

 

[Prince Danny the One]

Partially disagree with Olie, I think the main melody was good, it was really epic sounding. The countermelody, which sounded almost like some type of vocal chop was unusual. And I would like a snare that was more compressed and had more tape saturation. Try adding a chant during hook too.

I agree with what Prince Danny said the melodies sound good to me but a warmer sharper snare would sound better and the idea of adding a chant is good maybe a dirty south vox chant or something chopped & screwed.

This is cool. Definitely sounds like a mixtape record just cuz production is so simple. Maybe try automating a filter, adding some sweeps and drum rolls. Itll make it feel "bigger".
