Pete Rock/Preemo type beat

Cheers, i was going for that low endy- filtered kinda vibe i guess with the kick(almost like it's part of the main sample), but i can see where you're coming from. Thanks for the feedback!

This is nice, the drums have a nice groove and the sample is chopped nicely too, only criticism would be the sample of the keys being too dry and low in the mix, bring them up a bit and add a short amount of reverb to spread it out in the stereo field and I think it will have a very pleasing effect. Good work though! Also, very nice horn samples, good job on them.

Return the feedback if possible, thanks...

Good shit, thought was gonna be hella repetitive until the brass came that really refreshes the track. I agree the kick should come up, I would suggest that if you are going to return to this mix in DAW form to experiment with delays on the kick as well. Lightly, with low feedback & much more dry than wet but I feel that it would really add some spice at some point if you dropped a delay on the kick as a progression at point of your choice.
Really nice job though, I dug the atmosphere you set up for this one.
