Yo,

I just launched my Twitter, Youtube channel and Soundcloud and put my first actual beat on there and was wondering if anyone would be willing to give it a listen and provide some feedback. I got you if you want me to check out your stuff, just link it in the replies and I'll check your stuff out as well.

Thanks a bunch!

This is excellent work for being your first fully mixed beat. Certainly you do a good job of blending multiple layers of instruments without making the beat seem too crowded, however you shoul try to make the melodic elements somewhat brighter, and EQ them to stand out on their own as well. The snares sound crisp and stand out in the mix, but you might want to reduce the high frequencies ever so slightly so that they are less harsh on the ears. Overall I am very impressed with this work and I hope to hear more from you in the future.

Spare a moment of your time to give me some feedback on my work, thank you.

Definitely not bad for a first mix/master. Raise the volume of the horns a little bit and come down on the kick a bit. Its got kind of a muddy thud to it but not too bad. I like the subtle keys in the background to give it that creepy lurky vibe.

Thanks for the feedback guys! Glad you guys like it. Also, check out Wishart Beats' Poetic Justice remix above, it's dope!

Sounds good man. a trick for soundcloud is to cut the hihats or high shelf them down in the most pregnant frequencies so you wont get a smashed sound.
Overall good beat a bit more instrumentation here and there. Mix is clean enough space for a rapper to rap over it.
check my tape https://www.futureproducers.com/for...uth-etc/beat-tape-come-up-w-links-f4f-498534/

Damn! Just listened to some of the tracks of that tape... really dope, actually sound like instrumentals to legit songs. Really good shit.

Could you elaborate on the hi hats thing? Cause the hats turned out a little distorted and ****ed up when I put them on Soundcloud and I don't know why, and frankly, I have no idea what you're trying to saying when you say shelf them down in the most pregnant frequencies

Hey man, I'm envious that this is your first beat - I wish my percussion hit this hard on my first beat!

Really good work overall my friend. The mix is hard to jusdge from these little speakers (I'm not in the studio right now) but the kick and percussion does bang from where I'm sitting. The only thing I can suggest for future tracks is to switch it up throughout so you have a "B section', and to have another countermelody on top of what you already have here just for added depth.

Great job man - this is good and it'll only get better!

Please check out my latest when you get a chance: https://www.futureproducers.com/for...outh-etc/pop-beneath-lights-f4f-100-a-498220/

Cheers!

Not bad dude, respect your grind. Not really my style of music, but I decided to check out your album and I'm actually really liking Lurkin, it's definitely your best track dude.

Also, as much as I'd like to take credit for the mix, it wasn't me haha. This dude lomix did it for me (https://www.futureproducers.com/forums/members/lomix.html). Guy is the truth, definitely knows what he's doing
