J Cole x Kendrick Lamar x Wale Type Beat / (F4F)

the mix is great, the sound selection awesome, HOWEVER I SPENT 3 MINUTES WAITING FOR IT TO DROP WTF have some closed hi hats or something at least its just so sparse lol. maybe with a vocal over it it would be fine but stand alone it is just feels like constant build up for 3 mins. the drop is great but i spent way too long waiting for it lol. an idea could be to drop into the drums once halfway thru then go bback then drop again but with a bass or soemthing to add that progression and finality to it.

I dig the beat fam. I think the kick could have some more high end in it. It sounds a little muffled/muddy in the beat. I no it was intentional having the beat drop 3 min in but it was def becoming a boring beat before that. I advise maybe just adding little sounds to keep people interested or just bring the drop way earlier. Nonetheless, Good work fam. This is the base of a fantastic track. The keys are dope. The idea of what you've done here is fantastic.

The drums that do eventually hit do need to come sooner. I also feel another instrument or maybe a vocal sample to add some progression would be ideal.

When the main drums finally bang they bang so good, and that synth pad that comes in to add progression is great! I think this all needs to happen sooner! Good job.

Great vibe man, the beat is nice! I would just add some more drum elements to it but thats just me, it sounds good this way to ;)

Sampling and mix is really nice. Sounds professional. However, to jump on the comment bandwagon, I do agree that it is a bit minimalistic and seems like its leading up to a drop and then fails to drop. This might be different with a rapper on it, but overall I'd like to hear more variation and a heavier sound in the bottom end. Other than that though, real nice work. Samples are dope and that synth that comes in after a little is a cool sound. OH WAIT nevermind it drops at 3 minutes. I'd like to hear that drop way way way sooner! Good stuff. Anyway, nice job. the kickdrum sounds like there might be a little bit of mud in there, maybe eq it slightly more? maybe im crazy
I dig just about everything though

And I think the drop is great just as it is. The anticipation makes it epic
