I wrestled with this sample for about 6 hours as I was trying push through some beat block I had this week. Would appreciate some feedback overall, and will be sure to return any feedback that is left for me, just drop a link.

Man, I'm definitely feeling this, especially as someone who wants to go back to this production style. I was chopping up a Sam and Dave sample earlier today!

Anyway, I'm actually just feeling this all the way through. It's definitely something smooth. The Armchair Executive Producer in me doesn't like how chopped up it is starting around the 1:05 mark--it kind of threw me off. Other than that, for me, this track is gold. Great job. The melody is nice, the bass line rides, I love the kick and snare. Excellent work building it up with the hi-hats/shaker. Keep it up.
