this is indeed really dark xD Maybe the track would benefit (at least in the first part) from a higher instrument (something detuned) just playing single notes from time to time.
I like how you brought some variation in with the kick. Mix is solid.

I'm late to the party but I made this beat and was wondering if I created a sub genre to a sub genre lol. Lo-fi usually has an upbeat feel to it but I brought it to a dark place with this piano version of David Bowie's "Space Oddity". It was good as is but I made an intro and an outro to it that really seals in a set mood.
