I was going for a Lil Uzi Vert, Playboi Carti type beat here. I wanted it to have more of a Pop appeal, such as XO Tour Llif3 or Shoota with the romantic vibes to it.
I like the beat def a Uzi x Playboi vibe and yeah its more on the pop side the melodies and sound selection is dope imo but I feel the kick is too boxy it needs to be more punchy and the 808 sounds a lil lacking imo I'm listening on earphones so I don't know if thats the reason but the subs from the 808 is lacking I say tweak the low end and this will be ready to be uploaded.
Bruh Carti would wreck this beat. Lead is good but I think it's a tad thin...i'd layer with another instance of itself.
I listen to this 2x, once a pair of monitoring can(MDR-7506) and on my laptop and I agree with Caesar that kick is a bit boxy, replace it or try to fix it with some eq. Besides that I think this track is good to go. Nice work homie.
I think that the mix needs to be a little better. The bass I would make heavier and like the other guy said I'd find a punchier kick cuz this kick isn't really blending very well with the beat. The sound selection and melody is really really well done. So to answer if it's ready to upload, Id say 90% there.
