How do you guys stop singes who steel the music?

I had a few singers over who hired me to re mix tracks., some times if they did not have the money i would ask if they sing on my own tracks or projects in return, i allways have everything pre recorded before they hear them and i tell them if it works out its something new., sounds good right?


Well, that one mistake happened, and i happen to capture it on video.

One of the guys who checked out my tracks and took some stereo mixes home claimed he did not like them, and now he recorded on the stereo mixes and put up websites of his.

what do people here think of this?

All kinds of things pop up on the internet where there is no control of what content is uploaded. The legal question commonly asked is "why these people do it"?
= greedy for the money?
= lazy and talentless?
= a faker or fraud seeking to use it for attention from there lack of self confidence?

Your concern should only be your rights in the areas of fraud and money.

People normally have to check a agreement box before uploading multimedia content now days to verify that they are the owners., just contact that person who uploaded it and keep the emails for your records., later if necessary digital tracing will justify who is liable for the crime.
