Hi!

The idea behind this was to emulate the sound and arrangement of tech house tracks in the style of Riva Starr.



Would love to hear some feedback, do you think this would work on the dance floor?

I wouldnt call it a dance track. More of a backroom track. Not in a bad way though. I think you should back off the vocals and add some more synths. It has a good groove but the long vocals kind of drown it out. I say less vocals and the vocals that stay need some more effects. Just my taste though, it is well done overall.

You're the second person who tell me the same thing about the vocals. What kind of effects would you experiment with? I will definitely keep working on it. Thanks Mr. Shug!

I like it, really funky! Have to agree with the guy above, maybe back off the vocals a tiny bit but other than that I think it works really well, the mix is really decent too! Keep it up man.

This bassline is so sick and addicting! I have the feeling that the hihats or the high frequencies in general are a bit loud compared to the rest of the mix, but that might be me. If you would use a few vocal shorts instead of this guy constantly talking I would play this on repeat all day.
