Hi, there. I'm new to the forum and I want to show my latest EDM trap song to get some honest criticism. Don't be nice to me, because we all have enough nice people in our lives to tell us that we are awesome no matter what, lol.

Hi Burnout,

Just listened to your tune a few times. I like the melody and instrument layering lead. I think there are some conflicting frequencies in the mid low range (kick, bass, Pad?). Aside from side chaining the kick; check the the eq on each of those tracks and if you see similar frequency spikes. Maybe try a different pad for the second verse?

Thank you for your honest opinion! I know what is wrong, my sub bass has too much release and at times it conflicts with itself. I didn't think it would cause a problem but apparently it has. I appreciate your input, I'm going to fix it now! Sometimes, a second opinion is what you need to get an awesome mix!
