yeah its pretty sad some think your not hip hop cuz you dont dig in vinyl ,i just make beats ,i really dont care bout what others think about what i use i just use it.

wow... good looks yall!.. just wasted 15 minutes readin this thread... i came in here thinkin i was goin to hear some rare sounds and all i got was a two sides of a endless beef over "nothin".. lol hope this helps.. samplin to me is a artform.. ive sampled coins and tweaked em into shakers.., turned snares into hi hats.. layerd an organ wit a lil jon synth and a sample i had from when i had a mic outside my window and made a whole new sound from it.. sayin that because dudes sample from mp3s they not "real hip hop producers" only tells me that your tryin a lil extra hard to be "real hip hop"... yeah analog sound is "that".. and yeah u cant compare it wit a mp3... but at the end of the day the only thing that should really matter to you if your tryiin to be the best beatmaker you could be is... "wow.. how did charli brown get his drums to sound like that"... lol.. that is trully the only thing that should matter... i sample mp3's.. vynil.. cartoons... made a crazy rim shot from when i had left my mic on recordin by accident and tripped over some cables and broke my desk..lol.. tru story yall.. i lost heaven for a hot 16.. than i saw that i was recordin and right before i closed the session i saw the waveform from when the whole thing happend and decided to take a qjuick listen... and boom... heard that gem... lol.... so wats good klick beatz... where do i get those rare mp3s u talkin bout???

Lol you completely missed the point of what we were saying.

We didnt say anything about there being something wrong with sampling mp3s.

We were just telling you you made 2 DUMBASS statemenets, which were:

1. I get RARE samples from the Internet

2. The mp3s are the same quality as a true analogue vinyl record

That is completely wrong and i find it funny that you think that lol. Not once did we say sampling mp3s was wrong and not "hip hop".

I normally sample from vinyl. About the only thing I use mp3s for is to get an idea or to listen to things before I can find them on vinyl. It also helps to get a rough sketch of what I want to do so once I get the record I'm good to go.
