I have no answer to your question, but to add a question, what AKAI board is he using for sampling? Wonder what software also, I've got an iMac G5 handy and want to get more into making loops (perfect pitch gives me a knack for it :) ) Lemme know

When chopping a sample like this black milk guy did on this video. How do you decide what the tempo is when you make the drums first? usually i always just make a chopp and try and loop it on which ever tempo works.
