I've been using Logic 9 for a couple of months now and I'm really into sampling but timing chops perfectly seems to be next to impossible. I can't seem to find a way to fill in the gap %100...
My workflow is: find sample, reduce it to the area I'm going to sample, open a new template with the sample's original BPM as the meter, turn on Flex mode and set the parameter to Speed, adjust the sample to the whole bpm, make my chops, but here's where I get stuck.
The chops are all rounded up the sample's BPM that doesn't mean each chop falls perfectly between line A and B, usually they fall over or under by enough that if I stretch them with Flex, the tune audibly changes.
No ID's production on D.O.A. is exactly what I'm trying to embrace: reconstituting a sample without losing or using to much of a sample to balance it out... how does he have perceptually perfectly restitched samples?
Thank you
