sampling question

whuss up fp i got a question about sampling

my question is how do you guys match a sample to a drum pattern thats not the same tempo
of the sample? like if i wanted to play with a sample of 70bpm to a drum pattern @ say 143bpm

because when i sample my song tempo is always the tempo of the original sample

but now im starting to feel limited at putting together good sampled music because i want to be a bit more creative

Pitch the whole sample or time stretch it. 143bpm sound pretty fast, are you sure it isn't done in double time? 71,5bpm would be the actual tempo in that case and pitching the sample from 70bpm to 71,5bpm wouldn't affect the sound much.

ok thanks jyri im going to do some reseach on time stretch because i seen that in a couple few tutorials i seen hopefully i can get this right thanks for your insight
