As far as the thread I thought of old soulful groups. I was never much of a digger. Just records my mom had and she had enough to have a record store. She had a lot of live versions (she mostly played the live versions with the crowds cheering.....wow the memories).
I never say anything about Maze because I'm liable to attempt to murder the people who sample the shit (that's a joke). I'm over it now, though.
I always wondered where some basslines that got stuck in my head came from then later found out they came from the live album and slapped myself.
She became sanctified and gave them all away.But man I don't even go after records no more. I go after peoples hq home recordings of stuff like drums, guitar, brass, and whatever like that.

Isley Brothers is a def but solo artist are just as good like Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye, Bill Withers, Ginuwine, Al Green, its alot tho and u can sample anything just gotta find something u like!
