I'm not sure if this list is 100% correct, but its pretty close as far as I know....

1-James Brown
2-George Clinton (including all Parliament and Funkadelic releases)
3-Kool and the Gang
4-Sly and the Family Stone
5-JBs (w/o James Brown)
6-Isaac Hayes
7-Meters
8-Ohio Players
9-Lynn Collins
10-hmmmm, unsure really....try Isley Brothers, Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield, Prince.....

werd....
but dont worry about whats been done, do your own thing...but at the same time its always good to know whos jacking what and who they jacked it from....

Big Respect to those who deserve....
In my city we burn HERBS

ONE

S1KS

lenny williams, bootsy collins, isley brothers, and luther vandross

james brown is definitely first in line. then prolly george clinton & maybe kool & the gang.

i was suprised at the list on http://the-breaks.com/perl/stats.pl that Auspicious posted...alot of the songs that have real popular breaks in them were omitted...well except for "Synthetic Substitution" and a few others.
