How to make super punchy kicks?

Layer and equalize sound-sources for unusual outcomes.
Synthesizers can make some crazy drums too.
effects can turn samples into synths.Timestretch an 808, then time stretch soda bubbles.Classic.

There are multiple ways of sidechaining in FL.
You have the classic way of sidechaining the sound that will trigger the reduction, to the sound that will be affected, and applying a compressor with a sidechain input (yes, the Fruity Limiter). Just search for tutorials for it on Youtube, you'll literally found thousands of it.
Or you can sidechain using the Fruity Peak Controller (look that up).
Or you can mimic sidechained pumping by using a volume envelope plugin (for example Gross Beat, or different thirdparty plugins).

Some tips :

- layering
- EQ - cut out the mids
- transient shaping / designing, compression

You also need the kick to work in the mix, e.g. don't use "long" kicks in a busy mix.

And don't forget the SIDECHAIN! :-) When the kick hits, only the kick hits in the bass range of the mix, unless it would be above the sub-bass around 80-100Hz but that's not what I would call a punchy kick.

You can always side chain a low frequency generator, much like a movie would have lower freq.'s below thunder etc...and when your kick hits the trigger, you may want a 60khz wave to play underneath it. BE CAREFUL
