Documentary about digital sampling

thanx alot for the link. that was a real dope documentary. clyde stubblefield is a real humble dude he deserves his credit!

man im not gonna lie tho........the way some of those guys bashed our beloved art form kinda got me fired up.

thanks for the link, it was interesting.
It is unbelievable that it is cheaper to do a cover of a whole song , then sample 2 bars from it.
yea much respect to Clyde .

yeah...sampling is dope...but at the same time, there are so many sounds that come STOCK w/ audio applications, that it's hard to even JUSTIFY sampling.

good post btw.

Make sure any song you sample have it say for promo only and dont try to sell it or put it on a record except a mixtape. Unless your ready to pay up.

Sh1t sue me and your not gonna get much anyway!

check out this video 2 its about the amen break which is also widely used like the funky drummer sample... it wuldnt let me post a link so jus go to

youtube.com/watch?v=5SaFTm2bcac&feature=related

and also stock sounds are great but once it gets used in a hit, thats it? no more use of it or else we get sued? really doesnt make much sense 2 me but maybe i got it twisted...
