Put it into edison.
Add slice markers. (Even if you auto chop zoom in and micro edit)
Drag it to the playlist as an audio clip.
Select chop into regions.
Quantize.
Correct groove or creatively rearrange slices by using slip edit tool, cloning, time stretch, pitch, and nudging slices.
honestly, i sample in acid pro 6, export them as wavs or mp3s( to save hard drive space) then load them in the sequencer. edison is pretty good to tighten the sample. as far as plug-ins, fruity compressor and eq is good to make your samples sound fuller and to even them out.
