I just didn't think about making beats or music in general really. Then out of nowhere it'll hit me, and I'm back on track.

I just recently went thru a whole crapload of drums, most of them off here from various kits, and spent time organizing and messing with them. Got some new ideas going that way. You might try that, and new sounds always help.
    Yeah, **** you too...

just keep choppin randomly and screw samples like a 20 cent hooker, screw em up and dont

chop 4 only 1/2 a beat play bass off beat

    dont use drumz

let ur little bro or sister trigger sum sample

turn off the speakers and chop the waveform a zer-cross point

    just do pointless stupid stuff

trust me u will find sumthing u like...then u can use that stuff and/or new found idea when u back on track

    peace--goodluck

When I get the block... lol... I usually fill the time I would be working on music, improving my studio. Or cleaning up junk/unused stuff on my PC or MPC. Another thing that helps me especially is to NOT listen to music. None.

Hell I just came off of about a 2 month beat block... I made beats, well started to, and I was never satisfied with how it sounded, so I wouldn't finish it.

I just bought an Alesis Fusion. The patches on this thing are inspiring. maybe if you got some extra money, buy some new sounds???

dont make any tracks for a while: a week, 2 weeks, a month. dont do anything until the ideas come TO YOU. if you are trying to force it it wont come so chill out and maybe read a bunch of articles about people making tracks. sort of detox and research.

Actually, I don't think you should take a break at all. Just make more beats dude! Stop caring if you don't feel them immediatly, save them and move on, maybe you'll like them in a month, a year, whatever...

Just keep on grinding, and you'll get out of your block.
