you can also use a program called audio hijack pro which lets you record any audio that is being played on your computer.
Go listen to the greatest intro of all time - the one from The Dynasty. By the way, most GREAT intro beats would not be great full song beats (usually somewhat monotonous), so pick something that is awesome in a small dose.
i usually record the outputs from my computer to my MPC, while the movie is playing, or i search for the wav/mp3 on the internet(many free movie quote sites out there), orrrr i search on youtube for the clip then rip the audio from there....i think the 1st way is the best though cus u got full control over the sound
^ this....well for me personally
i use audacity its a free software and i also use to chop samples and for my mpc 1000. once u download it, open the software and there should be a tab that says stereo mix but its a drop down menu and make sure its set to stereo mix, then pop in a dvd to ur media player windows media and play the dvd and hit record on audacity. u will see the wav form as its being recorded. after u have what u need save it as the file format that works with ur sampler or softawre i use an mpc so it uses wav format for instance and ur good to go. i just did this for a beat i made remaking on of dillas beats i used part of a steve harvey stand up comedy routine.
