Why not just give him some advice on other samplers instead of trying to ram the idea of an mpd into his head? Im sure theres other people in these forums that may be interested in samplers other than an mpc also. Let the man go the hardware route instead of software if he wants to. People act like no one ever started producing solely on an mpc. Everyone doesnt start on software...
