I'm trying to sample with my Hercules DJ Console/Soundcard. I'm working with a Stanton Str8-100 turntable, Stanton SA-3 Mixer, the Hercules DJ Soundcard, and Sony Sound Forge 8.0. I tried hooking up a S/PDIF cable from the digital out on the Str8-100 to the Digital Coaxial in on the soundcard, didn't get any signal. Then I tried using the RCA cables by hooking up the TT to the mixer and the mixer to the soundcard via RCA cables in the Line-in on the Hercules DJ Soundcard. I didn't hear any music although oddly enough I was able to hear the sharp screeching sound of the cartidge dropping on the vinyl through my speakers which are also hooked up to the Hercules DJ Soundcard. If anyone can help me out or give me some pointers it'd be greatly appreciated.
