Whats goin on guys. Finally picked up the hobby of producing and am getting into vinyl.

My question is what is the most turntable set up I can get to play vinyls through the computer. From what Ive gather USB turntables arent the way to go. So again from what Ive gathered I believe Ill need a turntable and phono pre amp.

I want to go the cheapest route possible without sacrificing too much quality.Could anyone out there help a brotha out. Id really appreciate some straight help it would mean a lot.

Basically, yeah. You need a turntable and a mixer of some kind. All you need then is a Phono to 3.5mm cable, to go from the "record out" on the mixer to the "line in" on your computer. You can get all that for like $150-$200, and it will be usable, brand name stuff, like Pioneer, Sony, etc.

Most mixers will come with a line in for a phono plug. I'm curious to know why you won't consider a USB Turntable? Anyhow here's some information on audio mixers.
