Where to find Instrumental versions of songs (Peter Tosh)

Whats up

I've been trying to find the instrumental version of a Peter Tosh song I want to sample. I can't find the instrumental version online and I can't split the file in audacity/garageband because the instrumental and vocals were recorded together. Any tips on what to do?

yo i did some looking around and I can't see any reference to an instrumental or dub version of that tune so it probably doesn't exist. So your options are either to try to get surgical with some EQ and try to dig the vocals out of there as much as possible (google it for techniques), or to go into the vocal version and sample as many parts without vocals as possible and see what you can piece together from that. good luck!
