Where to chop?

Hey,

I am trying to chop a sample in FL 11 using slice x and I understand that the orange/red lines represent the volume of the sample.

I was told that it is best to chop the sample where the orange line meets the middle horizontal mark which is presumably 0db.

What does it mean if there are 2 red lines overlapping? Also, if chopping when the red line meets the horizontal line is the way to go, will it be an issue if I don't get a chop exactly in the middle? Thanks

I not sure and also don't use Fl studio. But my guess is that 2 lines represent de left and the right audio channel!! Like i said i'm not sure. U can experiment to make ur sample mono and see if there are still 2 lines. Otherwise i don't know! Good luck

BTW chopping at 0db (or the beginning of the chop) is right!
