How did was this sampled part created without degrading its quality?


Kendrick Lamar's Tammy's Song (Her Evils) sample of Dick Hyman's Alfie | WhoSampled


The music clip on the right from which the song is sampled starts at 0:06 (J Dilla actually used this same song). Anyway, I assume they timestretched and re-pitched it but the part made (0:00-0:12) almost sounds like an instrument and very clear.

to my ears this has been replayed at a different pitch not a direct sample but an interpolation using a similar patch - it is not exactly the same sound but very close

Funny, I was actually going to say that, but thought everybody would think I was crazy, since it is already listed at "WhoSampled." But I don't think they're the same either.

Yeah, even I thought it was crazy that it was a possibility it was derived from that sample.
