What is the standard-issue EQ work done for most samples?

Usually when you hear a sample, the percussion is either gone, or they are cleared up, made louder, more dynamic, etc. What is the usual routine that you guys use to EQ/prep a sample to use? Standard Parametric EQ?

Also, what about reverb settings, phasers?(I've heard Just Blaze incorporate them often)

Everybody's different. My first go to is Filters. I'm pretty sure few ppl sit there an EQ a sample lol. Maybe a compressor. It all depends on the sample, but 100% of the time I'm using Filters.

There's no such thing as standard issue EQ this aint the army. If a sample doesn't have other background sounds that it should it was more than likely replayed.
