could it mabye be that they are not happy with what they've got and want to ty some more?!?

well, all those things... but if you want to be especially caustic, most of these people on here make hip-hop, or whatever... that's mostly drums... hip-hop doesn't really take talent to make... come again, hip-hop doesn't really take talent to MAKE. Now when it comes to the lyrics, I give mad props to ANY hip-hop artist... that is where they shine... the heart and emotion that is given out in the lyrics.... (not to mention the skills needed to actually make it fit into the beat of the song)... so, that's why people aren't talking about strings and pianos and stuff, this is mainly a hip-hop world... beats are all you need...

Synths are in hip hop now, and always have been in since the late 70s/early 80s. Period.

Nothing is easy to make that's GOOD.

Welcome to FP.

Not a very good post for being one of your first ten here. :-/

If hip hop is so easy to make, why aren't you running the rap game right now? And don't give some BS about not having any connects or not wanting to, because if making hip hop was so easy to you then all your beats are obviously the ****, and someone would've noticed by now. And of course you would like the money and the fame associated with it, so why aren't you the king of rap right now, Ron Storch?

skills dont pay the bills. anyone who has been makin beats for a minute can tell u that. yea u have to have minimal skills at beats after that its really all networking. Saying that since rap is so easy why dont u have a deal yet is sort of irrelevent and given the right sounds hip hop isnt really that hard to make. There are a lot of genres of music out there that take a lot more musical skill than hip hop does.

I got drums like a muh****a, like 800 kicks, 900 snares and claps and that kinda ****

up til today I didn't have a single drum saved. Does that massive library help you a lot?

Yes it does, I don't have to create my own kicks with lots of effort and limi my creative process

Do you go through the whole lot each time, or keep some groups of favourites on standby?

Thinking about it having a library like this is very similar to simply keeping vinyl for when you can't sample drums as you go, only faster for the computer user to browse.

to those who made a comment about anyone commenting about how much skills it takes to make it into hip hop...and how it doesn't...see what happens when hip hop is global...do you think people respect classical, world beat, or any other genre even country and down that.....i think hip hop has become it's worse enemy....the minds of millions of black youth who are to confused to get it right with what they still are affected by things such as poverty, and now global socioeconomic climate changes in every region of the world. sorry for the essay ...but it's time you make something better than even SNAPPING YO FUNKY WEDGY PICKIN HANDS AND GET TO WORK on plucking some strings, cause reasons why and how you change the game is like TIGER WOODS do like he did get some cameras focused on you....and with every new update of progression as an artist you step up the game to the point you change the game completely the level of competitiveness tobe a dope(mc:master of ceremonies) or DJ cause they keep the club vibe and underground working and all the other folks who try to rap need to quit it ...and try being an record label owner thin barry gordy...quincy jones then think longevity or think about being a entertainment musicwise lawyer, accountant, counselor, advisor, publisher, editor, magazine writer, photography for hip hop moguls, etc., other ways of eating off hip hop sh*T a club owner or hotel owner or casino owner...something else that still provides entertainment and music to be in the scene.

well well well... thank you for the nice reply... if you actually read my previous post and not mix in your own emotions... you will find that I wasn't dissing any rap artist, or even hip-hop... I pointed out the fact that most genres today (mainly hip-hop becuase it is the most prevalent) lacks real musical depth... I wan't in any way trying to get back at anybody... and there might still be talent out there (Eminem's When I'm Gone, Lose Yourself... and countless others)... but today, it has been warped into a "oh, I'll throw together a beat and a ryhme and make millions"... if you actually used your OWN talen and your OWN beats, then you would not only have a chart-topper, but a platinum... now to address the topic at hand: I prefer to use reason and logic when making my arguments, and creative genius when composing music. Plus, rap doesn't inspire for the reasons that I may or may not have listed. If you're thinking of making serious hip-hop... and you're still using someone else's samples... that's utter bull sh**. Use creativity as opposed to someone else's... or just stop making music... And by the way, music (IMO) is not just a way of paying for the alcohol that got you drunk last night... when music becomes all about the money, people sell out, and they start to suck. When will music ever be just a way to express yourself and not just a way to get "connects" fame and fortune... you can go ride your fame and fortune deal all you want, but when your "talent" runs dry becuase you can't find the latest sample... I'll be laughing... poor, but laughing...

Oh, and yes... I forgot... your hip-hop is all 'bout the game... isn't it? The mad rush, the thrills of runnin from the cops? That's what makes you the role-models for these kids eh? Yeah, just so you have a bigger fan base, more sympathy, and more "connects" fame and money... screw that...

haha... I'm sure I will at some point... I won't be in the hip-hop scene, I'll be doing something bigger... so, I'll look you up one of these days...

*cheers* to your (somewhat blown out of proportion) optimism, as we all know, it's about "connects"
