Simple bassline in sampled beat

So - since Im a begginer, I struggle at finding the key or scale of my samples (vocals or instruments). So besides practicing it, how can I make a good bassline without this skill? I mean, I chopped nice parts of the song, put them in my way, add nice drum pattern - but know when it comes to bass I don't know what to do? Can I just make simple bassline and it will sound good?

Play by ear.. Find that note you can play the whole2/4bars. Then build off that.

This is what I did. But I really don't know if that's the same scale that is my sample.. but I guess not every bassline should be in the same scale.. different melodies in tracks are not something bad I guess.

basslines are tough for me too...im still trying to get a good wobble on mine =(

play it by ear , or if the sample has enough bass , put a low pass filter in it to get the bass from the sample

i always play it by ear or if i hear the sample has bass in it i just filter it out
