Sampling & Melodies

Hi Guys,

I'm just wondering if anyone can give me some tips/tricks on sampling and creating your melodies using them. Recently I've been attempting to create original sounds from different midi instruments with layers etc but It's hard to get that rich authentic sound without the use of samples.

What methods can people suggest for a thick and rich melody production?

take a 16 second sample. depending on what software or hardware you're using, chop it up, take the pieces you need and arrange it. i'll post a video to show you an example.

What do you mean by a "thick melody'?
