when you got the sample ready and everything from a record

what sounds do you usually add to it

you add whatevers missing, I don't sample much but when I do I add drums and sometimes I even try to match my sounds with the sample and replay them to give it another feel, a lot of times after i do that i end up pulling the sample out and using my own instrumentation,

What ever you feel it needs. Music isn't about forumlae, it's about feelings. Treat every sample differently.

Almost exactly what Heated/Fuquan said.....

You add whatever is missing. Since you can sample all sorts of things, you are going to have to add in elements. For example, let's say that you sampled a piano solo. At minimum, you are going to have to add in a rhythm section. Or maybe you sampled a clean bass line - then you are going to want to add in some drums, and likely a higher pitched melody. Add in whatever it takes to flush it out and build a song.
