Samples and selling it?

if i took a song like Jay z where im from. Do i so have to just change it in fl studio, and then i can sell it. Or do i need to contact the label and the artist and pay them? or does i have to give them credit?

I would check out the Music/Industry/Legal/Marketing section of FP. I would link you there, but I can't post links yet. I don't have an exact answer to your question, but I'm pretty sure you couldn't ever sell a sample of Jay-Z. Not without a ton of money, at least.
