Sample trick/technique: finding the bassline of the sample to replay very easy

if u wanna replay the bassline of a sample in MIDI but got a hard time figuring our what they played just filter out all the highs of the sample so u only hear the bassline, then throw it in melodyne and calculate what was played.. then u can see exactly which notes were played
 
Very useful advice,thank you for ponting that,also a great alternative if you are using FL Studio is Newtone,but Melodyne is pretty good too! Peace! :)
 
I use edison to do this. I get the first note correct 100% of the time and the rest too sometimes.

Sometimes some of the notes are little off but its still gets easier too do the rest by ear when you have most of it down.

I think it was something like region pitch or something in edison
