Is it legal, or at least moral, to have a friend send you drum samples that he purchased from Cymatics? I've been googling all over the place and haven't found anyone addressing this question.

Most (if not all) sample pack / loop pack providers do not want their stuff shared. Period.

The only exception to this would be if the original source explicitly states in an agreement that the samples or loops can be shared/modified/given away etc. Even then, read the fine print.

It is NOT legal. Unlikely to be an issue, but be aware. Use at your own risk.
