Sometimes it depends on how you mix them. i can mix them the way i want. You can give me any kind of Drumset and i mix them real good. Sometimes it depends on the frequencies, cutting off means someimes loudness, therefore it is meant to mix in relation to the other tracks in the arrangement.
You can p.m. me i send you a couple of examples. Very good Drumkits you can find under modernbeats.com or in several audiounit and vst plugins depending on which style. Native Instruments Battery and the factory Library of Kontakt and several other plugins like the Akai Mpc Software have very good drumsets. My experience with the Akai XR-20 Groovebox proofs for me that analog sound is always punchy and fat. You could thing about one MPC i would choose the Akai MPC 5000 because groove and swing matters. Feel free to choose, i will upoad a couple of tutorials soon.
