Playing an MP3 in the background in Reason.

Hey guys, I have found a ton of articles on sampling in Reason (I have version 5), but I haven't found anything that helps my situation.

Basically, all I want to do is have a song play in Reason and have the ability to play over it without having to start over each time. It seems like such a simple request, but all I have achieved is mapping it in NNXT, which does indeed play the song, but only if I let it play uninterrupted from the beginning. I need to be able to zip around in the file and have it play where I want (and ideally without messing around with the start time in the NNXT for fourty hours and making a bunch of separate segments.)

Can anyone help a brother out?

you could do this in record 1 and 1.5 for reason (which was contemporaneous with Reason 5) and can definitely do this in reason 6 and later

looks like you need to go to 8 which may be a bit of leap technically and financially
