New to sampling

Hey FP Familiy,

I've been producing for a year now. Original composition only. I would really like to try sampling. I just don't know how the process of sampling works. Can anyone feel me in on how the process goes. What things are involved in sampling like i.e. pitching sample down, speeding up sample, chopping ext. I really got inspired by JR Rotem, I love how he samples great pop songs. I really see myself sampling in his style and type of music.
 
Tutorials are where it's at. youtube is your best source! just type into youtube what you want to do and with what gear! take it from there!

JR Rotem just takes a sample and loops it generally a 4 bar loop if that then he may play something over the top

yes I think he sometimes replays the sample too. Thanks for the advice guys.
 
SliceX? its alright i just dont like that it doesnt have a tempo setting..
