I have vinyl with drum loops on them yet most vinyl don't have claps. I really looking for claps & construction kicks.

 Also, I thought about getting some CD-ROMS like pro sessions by M-audio for clean drums (solely for R&B tracks and commercial hip hop tracks).

Are CD-roms the best options when looking for clean drums.?

Millions of vinyl pieces that have claps on them. It's only 20 or so years ago that the Kick/clap combination was as played out as it is now, so a lot of common records have that sound from the eighties, in either synthesized or actual clapped form.

Jazz records often have hand claps on them. Have a listen to the open claps on "Unsquare Dance" from Dave Brubeck's album "Time Further Out"

Salsoul Orchestra
Detroit Emeralds
Kool & The Gang
and Southside Movement all have good claps in them
