multiple samples from one artist

i was at a record store today, and i bought a record in the bargain box of some old no-name soul group. turns out, this record is chock full of awesome samples! so far, ive sampled from like 8 of the songs.

is it lame, or against hip-hop ethics to make several records sampling the same artist? i know there's no rules, just wondering what you guys think. thanks.

nah man happens all the time
new and old school cats do this.
if it's a dope sample it's a dope sample... nah mean?

lmao @ askin for permission to use samples. As long as its hot nobody cares. Why do u care about if its ok? or even ask for that matter? The art of hip hop is to not give a ****.

ha i agree with X man, & dude! i wasnt aware hiphop has any ethics!

people always bring up producer rules that are really just stupid. ie search for obscure samples, chop **** up in a crazy fashion, dont loop, dont sample something thats been sampled before, dont sample rap, dont sample new ****, ect. while i do agree with some of it i wouldnt hold it against anyone else. **** Swizzbeats did some crazy **** with the black album acapellas.
