MPC 500 > Computer. Vice Versa.

I just picked up the MPC500 w/o the owners manual. So I'm kind of lost as to how to use it. I mainly got it because you can transfer files back and forth from the computer. How do I, if at all possible, transfer a sample that I want recorded to my MPC from my computer? I've already learned how to connect through the USB but the file I dragged off my desktop is not loading in my MPC. Any help is appreciated!!

Are you making sure your samples are in wav format 16 bit 1411 kbps?

I always drag and drop via usb on my 1000.

You could record straight in via rca cables as well.

The first time they weren't in .WAV format but afterwards I flipped n made them .WAV format. I dragged it to a folder and tried to 'LOAD' that folder but it doesn't load/save the sample. IDK what it takes to 'LOAD' and assign the sample to pads.
