mixing straight vinyl samples with 808s?

do you think its a problem trying to clean up a dirty sample and add 808 drum kits to it?I don't know how hard it will be to make sure everything sounds properly but does anyone have any tips?
 
Why's it a problem, does something with 808s on it have to be clean? It's nice hearing the crackle and dirt off a vinyl but if it's not your thing just EQ out the high end clicks.
 
If it was a dirty sample I'd find an 80s record and sample an 808 from that and make sure its equally dirty. I personally wouldn't use the entire 808 kit for a sample played by a band or an acoustic kit on a synthetic sample. Basically choose your drum sounds based on the sample is synthetic use a synthetic drum sound if its live use a live sound if its a dirty sample use a dirty sound if its clean use a clean sound. Sometimes even cleaning a record to work with your clean drums helps a ton.
 
I think I heard alchemist mix 808 with a dirty sample, pretty flawless. I do it sometimes as it does often make a cool contrast.
