I use Logic for everything but changing the tempo or pitch of a sample. I can't get Logic Time and Pitch Machine to work for me, so I use Audcatity for those two functions, as it seems to work better than logic for me. However, my samples sound somewhat distorted even when I increase the tempo by say 4 or 5 BPMs. Is there a general rule or threshhold at which the sample will become distorted? Say if you increase over X BMPs, you should expect distortion? Or am I doing something wrong when increasing the tempo?
